Freegreen.com, the world’s leading provider of green house plans, approached extensionEngine to develop its website, the core of its business. The website is a platform for home builders, architects and customers to upload, download, view, sell and buy house-plan packages, including full construction documents (blueprints).
As a startup, FreeGreen needed a cost-effective solution for its software development needs. Its business was technology-enabled but did not require full-time software engineers, who typically command top dollar in the Boston marketplace. On the other hand, FreeGreen would not compromise on the quality of its systems or afford to use “cheap” solutions that would cost more in the long run.
